During the setup process Cocoon and your smartphone exchange encryption keys, which remain on your smartphone and cannot be accessed by our team. We think this is the best way to ensure that your privacy and security is maintained. Only you can access the live video/audio stream from your home.
As for the raw data stream, this is held on the physical device. Cocoon processes locally on the device as this limits what is being sent outside your home and stops huge volumes of data clogging up our servers! We only push encrypted video/audio to the cloud if there is an alert or if you request it (via the app).
