Linking your Cocoon to your Google Assistant can be done in a few easy steps.
Firstly, open your Cocoon app and head over to the menu, tapping on ‘Household details’ to get to the Smart home section, and touch the ‘Sign in’ button in the Google Assistant section.
Hit Continue and when you’re on the Sign in with Google page, choose the account that is linked with your Google Assistant.
You’ll now be returned to the Cocoon app.
The next step is to link your Cocoon to your Google Assistant via the Google Assistant app.
Search ‘Cocoon’ and tap on the Cocoon logo to open the Cocoon skill page.
You can now touch the ‘Link’ button and follow the ‘Sign in with Google’ instructions.
Now, to complete your integration, talk to your Google Assistant and utter the magic words…
“Hey Google, ask Cocoon to arm my household?”
“Ok Google, tell Cocoon to sound the siren?”
“Hey Google, tell Cocoon to stop the siren?”
“Ok Google, ask Cocoon about Subsound?”
Head back to the Cocoon app and you’ll see that Google Home has joined your Household, and successfully armed your Cocoon.
You’ll see your Google Assistant is now a member of your Cocoon Household.
You’ll now be able to tell Cocoon to sound your siren and stop it, ask Cocoon to arm, or about Subsound from any smartphone using Google Assistant, as well as Google Home or Google Home mini.
To remove and unlink your Google Assistant, simply tap the ‘x’ next to the user in the Household member list in the Cocoon app. In the Google Assistant app, on the Cocoon skill page, tap Unlink in the Account Status section to completely remove the integration.
